What is special about these activities?

The distinctive feature of my works is the combination of clowning with magic and puppetry. I have found that children of all ages love this formula.

At the same time, the clown-magic-puppet triad also has a very powerful pedagogical side that I take advantage of in my educational activities on English, literacy, habit formation, etc. (If you want to know more, in this blog post I explain how you can transform a magic trick into a teaching tool.)

[Educational activities] How to get a better price?

The prices of the educational activities are organized in packs. It is always more worth hiring a pack than an individual session.

For example, a single educational session in a school would cost €450, while with the two sessions pack they would cost just €375 each; with the three sessions pack, €333; with the four sessions pack, €300; and with the five sessions pack the cost drops to €270 each.

Packs are available to schools, daycares, libraries and local police.

Can different works be organized on the same day and in the same place?

Yes. With the two and three session packs you can book up to two different plays per day, while with the four and five session packs you can book up to three different plays on the same day.

How can we be sure that these are quality activities?

The best guarantee is the more than 170 evaluations received so far, which show a high degree of satisfaction: on a scale of 1 to 5, the average score of all the evaluations is 4.4.

My professional career of almost 20 years in this profession also supports me.

What are the technical and space requirements?

All activities have been designed to be technically simple and easily transportable. Thanks to this, they adapt to all types of spaces, whether open or closed, small or large: classrooms, schoolyards, public libraries, streets and squares, theaters and auditoriums, etc.

A sound system proportional to the space is always included, and the only technical requirement is an outlet to connect it.

[Plays in English] Doesn’t the time devoted to the artistic part (pantomimes, magic…) take away valuable time from the dialogues in English?

The idea behind the activities in English is not to entertain the students, but to take advantage of the resources of the performing arts to help them learn English.

Magic tricks, puppet dialogues, pantomimes and clown gags have not been added just for the sake of it, but to complement the content in English, to reinforce it and help its understanding.

We have few children of different ages. Can you do a joint session under these conditions?

Yes. The small number of children is not a problem, on the contrary. Regarding age, in these cases the activity is adapted to the average age ─usually around eight years─ and specific content is also added for the youngest and the oldest.

In this way, the attention of young and old is kept, and everyone feels integrated.

[Plays in English] The English level of the students is not very high. Will they be able to understand the play?

In all the works ─and especially in those of kindergarten and initial cycle─ the expressions in English are accompanied by clear scenic actions.

In this way, even if the students’ level of English is very basic, they only need to watch the stage action to already understand the plot.

In addition, the didactic guide for each activity details the vocabulary necessary to prepare students in advance, although the latter is not essential.

(However, there are two works in which the argument presents additional difficulties for understanding: Clowning and It s not Rocket Science. For this reason, in these two cases very short dialogues in Catalan have been added: 5% in Catalan and 95% in English.)
