I have been a full-time professional in education and children’s entertainment for a long time, with several hundred performances under my belt.
I can also offer you two additional guarantees:
1. Referrals. I enclose some endorsements that I have received over the years.
2. Personal assessments. You can also read some customer’s reviews about my performances.
From a technical point of view, all these plays are really simple. Activities are straight forward and participatory, and they are performed close to the children to encourage their participation.
If space is adequate, the performance can be done without a stage or platform. If there is a platform, it is important that it is not very high (no more than half a meter), with a step at the front so children can easily get on it. A platform measuring 5 x 4 m is sufficient.
Lighting. Usually, there is no need for special lighting. As a rule, there are no light changes during the performance. However, when it comes to evening outdoor performances, the organizer must ensure that there is adequate artificial lighting (especially in winter, when it gets dark early).
Sound. Any performance with no more than 70 children usually does not need a microphone; I use a 20 W portable amplifier just for the music. Concerning performances with a significant amount of children, I have a 250 W professional sound equipment with a wireless microphone. In the case of performances in theaters and auditoriums which have their sound equipment, the organizer must provide that there is a sound technician to take control of the music and the sound system.

Schools. Ideally, the number of children should be around 50 students per session. With this amount, the performance gets an intimate atmosphere and the result is frequently very good. It is also possible to arrange the show for much larger groups (one hundred students, or even more), provided that space is adequate. There is also the possibility to put on several consecutive performances on the same day (with the consequent cost savings).
Day care centers. Usually, there is no problem regarding the number of toddlers because 0-3-year-olds are tiny, and they take up little space. However, it is important that the performing space is wide enough, so the small ones feel comfortable and relaxed. If you want to separate the youngest children from the rest, you may consider organizing more than one performance on the same day. As in the case of schools, daycare centers benefit from discounts when booking two or more consecutive performances.
Libraries, theaters, and outdoors performances. There is no limit to the number of crowds, except as determined by the physical characteristics of the performing space.
Family parties. The most suitable number is around 10-20 children per show. This does not mean that it is not possible to perform for more or fewer children, but it is advisable that you mention it at the time of booking.
Some shows target to particular ages, but other ones may embrace children of different ages.
For example, day care center performances are just for the 0-3-year-olds, while others (like road safety shows) are available in two versions: one for the kindergarten, 1st and 2nd-grade (35 min), and another for 3rd to 6th-grade students (45 min).
In the case of activities in English, some of them are perfect for kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd-grade, while others are more suitable for 3rd to 6th-grade students. Instead, entertainment shows are aimed at a wider age range (from 3 to 11 years old).
In shows with children from different age groups (e.g., performances in public libraries), I usually adapt the show to the average age of crowds. However, I also turn to young and older children to keep on their attention.
I have eight completely original shows.
However, I have adapted some of these original shows to run in a very particular environment (e.g., theater in English, 0-3 children, etc.).

Once the booking is made (either by phone or email), soon you will receive a confirmation email with all the details of your reservation (date, time, price, show, address, etc.).
Please double check the confirmation email and if everything is correct reply with your agreement. Please note that to complete the reservation is necessary to give your approval to the confirmation email.
If there is any error, please indicate it in your response.
It is also advisable to read the Terms of Service carefully, as when you hire my services you are implicitly accepting these Terms.
Schools. Besides the above, all schools and kindergartens that make a booking during September to December must pay a deposit of 30% of the total amount. It must be done within 15 days from the time you receive the confirmation email.
The remaining amount must be paid once the performance is done (preferably the same day), either in cash or via bank transfer.
In the confirmation email, you will find the account number and indications for making the transfer. Upon receipt of payment, I will send you an email confirming it.
The sooner, the better! All performances are reserved according to the order they are scheduled, so the sooner you make your reservation, it is more likely that the requested date is available. (You can check the current availability on the online calendar.)
The confirmation email and, if applicable, the bank receipt of the advance income are the proof that your reservation is confirmed.
You can also check the online calendar: you will see that the date you selected appears as reserved.
You will also receive a reminder a few days prior to the performance date.
No. Unfortunately, the deposit is not returned in any case, as specified in the Terms of Service. However, if you must change the date due to force majeure causes, there is the option to choose a new day among which remain available, as long as you request it well in advance.
Ruskus Patruskus’ plays can be performed at school; there is no need to move your students to a theater, which in itself is a very significant saving.
However, there is a way to get even higher savings by scheduling several performances for the same day.
Indeed, continuous performances (i.e., consecutive to the first one) get significant discounts, as you can check in the price list. So you can get important savings when scheduling several performances on the same day, instead of booking them for different days.
Important: if your center has been qualified as a maximum complexity school (CMC), you will benefit from a much lower price.
When multiple storytimes are booked simultaneously, the cost of each performance is much more economical than reserving each one individually.
In this example you can see the price difference in three different cases:
- A single session in February: 300 euros.
- One session in February and another one in May: 300 + 250 = 550 euros. Price per session: 275 euros.
- One session in February, one in May, and another one in November: 300 + 250 + 250 = 800 euros. Price per session: 267 euros.
I know the problems facing many rural schools, and I respect and admire the work carried out by you.
All ZER schools benefit from a much lower price; you will find it in the price list.
As specified in the Terms of Service, for outdoor performances it is the responsibility of the organizer to provide an alternative sheltered space that would allow the performance in the case of rain. When this is not so (either by lack of foresight of the organizer or because it was not possible to get an alternate space), if the show is canceled due to rain or any other force majeure event, the organizer must pay
a) half the price if the performance is canceled prior to setting up the show, or
b) the total amount if the performance is canceled once the setting up process has started or during the show.
I never leave an email unanswered.
As a rule, I answer an email the same day I receive it or next day at most.
So if you do not get any answer from me, please check your spam folder or phone me. Most likely my email has been misidentified as spam.
In this case, you will never reach my answer, and it will make me look bad.
To avoid this risk, I recommend that you include email@example.com in your safe list and/or your contact list.

Most of my performances are booked without intermediaries. However, occasionally I also work with entertainment agencies, event management agencies, and booking agents.
