I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF... This is a summary of the most asked questions. If you have any questions about something not explained here please do not hesitate to get in touch with Ruskus Patruskus.
Why do Ruskus Patruskus' shows go on for just fifty minutes? Wouldn't it be much better if they were to last longer? It is essential to keep in mind that children and adults are entirely different audiences. It is very difficult to hold a child's attention continuously for a long period of time, so Ruskus has realized that fifty minutes is the ideal length for his shows so as to maintain the children's attention on a good level. Do you adjust the show depending on kids' age? Yes. The essence of the show remains the same, but what does change is the way every subject gets developed. Lets say, for example, magic: grown-ups (or older boys) love magic because it proposes a challenge to nature rules. However, very little children (just three or four) are still developing their way to perceive reality and, possibly, the illusion does not amaze them by itself. But surely they will enjoy a lot the fancy colors and the bright music of that same magic effect. Every age requires a different approach. Usually the audiences have distinct ages: if this is the case Ruskus adapts the show to the average children, but addresses continuously to older or younger boys in such a way to keep them also interested. What are the advantages on engaging Ruskus Patruskus? The same way that putting on a white coat does not transform a lay man in a doctor, to dress on as a clown is not the same as being a clown. Hiring a professional has the same advantages in children entertainment as in any other field, the same way as -following the analogy- we would never go to a doctor if we would not be deadly convinced he is really a doctor. Every sketch Ruskus presents in his shows has been tested many times in front of live audiences and has been progressively perfected. Customers get the assurance of engaging a show that is really worth what they pay for it. How much time in advance should a reservation be done? As soon as possible! Performances are booked the same order they are engaged, so if you wait too long to confirm you run the risk of finding the date you wish occupied. Do you perform in any area or just in a specific zone? Ruskus Patruskus lives in Catalonia (Spain), specifically in Pineda de Mar (Maresme, province of Barcelona). Therefore, the regions where he usually performs are: Maresme, Selva, Gironès, Baix Empordà, Barcelonès, Vallès Oriental, Vallès Occidental, and Baix Llobregat. It is possible however to hire a performance for any place out of this zone (in Spain or Europe), though in that case price increases in accordance to the distance of the performing location. I am a professional events planner and I would like to have more detailed information of your shows. Could you give it to me? Yes. You just have to send an e-mail with your name, address and phone number; pointing out which shows you are interested in. You will receive by post a comprehensive dossier with all the relevant technical and artistic information. Would you perform for an adult audience? No. Every show Ruskus Patruskus does is aimed to young audiences (mainly three to eleven years old). Adults present also have a good time (in fact, they enjoy it as much as the little ones!) but the material and style Ruskus uses is directed to kids. Would you work in the tourist trade? Ruskus Patruskus has a lot of experience performing in hotels, camps, and tourist complexes. He can perform entirely in English, and it is possible to get good discounts when booking several shows together. What is a custom show? It is a choice given to clients with special needs. For example, a town market wants a clown to cheer up buyers during two hours; a company has a stand at a fair and wishes Ruskus to attract attention to its products with magical illusions; a shopping mall desires a clown to give away balloon figures to kids; a cultural promoter wants entertainment on the street... Customers only need to ask for what they want! What are the specifications of your sound system? Do you use a microphone? In family gatherings such as birthday parties, communions, etc., Ruskus brings in a little 20 watts Pignose battery-powered portable amplifier, and a mini-disc player. A microphone or an electrical outlet are not required. For bigger events (shows Cirkruskus and Traspatràs) Ruskus Patruskus carries his own sound system, comprised by a 500 watts Samson TM500 powered mixer, two Work WB12 loudspeakers with stands, a Shure wireless microphone and a mini-disc player. In this case a 220 volts outlet is required (it should be, as a maximum, fifty meters to the performing stage). What are your space requirements to perform? The family entertainment show Arzabarastayan! may be played in any place: in a living room, in a house garden, in an open park... Bigger shows (Cirkruskus and Traspatràs) can be performed at the school playground, at a public square, in a hall, in a theatre... It is not essential a platform when performing outdoors, but it is advisable to get one (in such a case it should be placed a stair at the front that links stage with audience area). And finally, how much does it cost? Prices vary depending on the kind of show, location, and other conditions. This is why rates are not detailed here. However, in all cases fees are moderate and reasonable. For more information please get in touch with Ruskus Patruskus. |
